Red sky in the morning is a shepherd’s warning.

And so it proved to be. The predicted rain began around 11am and has hung around all day

I carried out as many outdoor jobs as possible early in the morning including strimming and trimming brambles and nettles around the far pond. Much more to do tomorrow if the rain abates

The goats sensibly stayed in their shed

Waiting for their evening rations of concentrates and hay
The sheep came out to explore the forage that I had brought back from the pond
