You simply couldn’t make it up. It’s my stupid fault not Nigel’s fault

I put Jeremy’s freshly baked loaf of bread on the dining room table to cool. Usually I shut the door to the living room/dining room to stop the cats being tempted by the warm bread. Tonight, Nigel came into the kitchen to sit by the fire. We were about to eat our supper so I put Nigel outside in the hall whilst we ate in peace. But…….I had left the living room door ajar……

Nigel simply had to sample the bread!
Can a cat look sheepish? A new loaf of bread is now being prepared in the bread maker. My fault surely, not Nigel’s fault.

  1. Potato peelings and freshly baked bread all in one day! I thought you were going to say he had tackled the gnocchi. That would have been unforgiveable..
