Proper autumn afternoon. Sun shining, wind blowing, rain threatening but never falling

In the veg garden the little tractor has earned it’s keep
Getting the ground ready for spring planting
I couldn’t bear to waste this free hedge row bounty
I picked enough rose hips to try and make some rose hip syrup. Full of vitamin C

Then the sky was darkening and it was time to put all the creatures to bed. Mother hen and babies were already snuggled up for the night

  1. You are so industrious! Be interested to see how your rosehip syrup turns out.
I went to Bedford just after lunch to collect another month of pills for Zola and then to Tescos (my first Tesco visit for years and years) to buy quiet fireworks for Judy, Brian and me to take to the Woolmer’s.
The friend Paula and her Zola lookalike Holly came over for a play date and a cuppa/chat so now a very tired happy Zola!
