Goldfinches love sunflower seeds. We hadn’t been putting them out recently and we had hardly seen a goldfinch at the feeders. J splashed out and bought a sack (twice the price since the terrible and heartbreaking war in Ukraine began in February) and this morning I saw two birds as I stood washing up at the kitchen sink. Welcome back little goldfinches.
