the field with just one lamb in tow. As I went out early this morning I heard the second lamb bleating. He had got caught up in the hay feeder. He’s an adventurer like Nigel

Just before we went out this morning Little Miss Pretty gave birth to triplets. Last year she had a still birth so well done LMP. Sadly one of the triplets was lifeless by the time we saw them but the other two are cosy inside now with their mother.

Since that excitement )tinged with sadness) I have been cleaning out one of the large dog cages (we don’t have dogs but they are ideal for lambs) which the two grey hens had colonised. It needed a lot of cleaning. We will bring this into the kitchen for the rejected lamb but might try to reintroduce her to mum Cieste later this morning. The lamb, called Schluf, is doing really well and has drunk warm goat milk this morning
