I went to the goat shed this morning. The routine is to take out the two yellow feed buckets and put them in the milking parlour to be filled and given out this evening. Then the next job is to put fresh hay in the feeders and then one of us takes Willow into the next door hut and milks her. Then all the goats are allowed out into the paddock until the evening
This morning I saw bright red stains on one of the yellow buckets

Poor thing! Refuah schlema
A torn ear does not preclude them from showing! Cows are often getting ripped ears from getting caught in things. You need to order another but keep it safe and do not fit it until you need to move them – or until you get an inspection! I had one cow who had a tattered ear from ripping two tags out – which her certainly spoilt her looks!
