After a cold, damp start this morning the afternoon blossomed into sunshine

It may be winter but, as we emptied wheelbarrow loads of goat straw and nutritious manure onto the rhubarb patch we saw this

Outside the polytunnel the huge, glossy, green brassicas are putting forth tiny purple sprouting heads

I’m sure that there is plenty of cold, wintry weather ahead but these signs of spring are encouraging
I thought that this was a beautiful sunset until I was sent these sunset photographs from the south coast just a few minutes ago
I must go down to the sea again……
