Sadly, in the quail barn (so called when we housed quails there two or three years ago) there have been bloody battle between two cockerels – a Silkie and a grey Bantam. Let’s hope they settle down and can share their enforced incarceration until we get the avian flu all clear from DEFRA.

Outside ice sculptures have formed on blades of grass and they haven’t melted all day.
