I spoke to Hannah about your chicken losses without a visible entrance for the fox. She thought that unless it managed to jump from a nearby perch or henhouse up and onto the top of the 6ft fence, it might not have been a fox which was responsible. She mentioned a polecat or a feral ferret, both of which can get through tiny holes and are really difficult to locate. I do hope you haven’t attracted one of those!
I did pick up a dead animal last year as roadkill down by Ducks CRoss which I am pretty sure was a polecat, so they are about. Worrying.
