Grey Mother hen and her four chicks are living in a “nursery” run beside the pergola. They are doing brilliantly.

The Black Hen mother and her two able bodied chicks are further away from the house, next to the main chicken run. We think the white chick is a girl and the Maran type is a boy.

Little Blackie is still with us and enjoys attention – I think.
