When we opened the hive on Friday there were so, so many bees. There was also a “queen cell” that we had left intact believing (incorrectly it seems) that the old queen had died. She must have been hiding and planning her escape with several thousand of her followers. Jeremy put on his bee suit and grabbed a box and a pair of secateurs

Now we need a third hive!!!!!
