There are busy days and there are really busy days!

The youth group had a yoga class before a breakfast of shakshouka in the barn

Then the family arrived and it was a hive (no bees, not you) of activity. Granddaughter wanted to stay with the kids and grandson to play on the digger

Another pied wagtail is feeding its young in the other side of the barn

It was wary of granddaughter and me but eventually flew in to offload the insects in its beak

The youth group were packing up and writing in the guest book as farmer Dave arrived from Bosworth with his son who was driving a good sized trailer. We all worked at loading the lambs – who were very docile. The lambs are a present for Dave’s wife. I hope she enjoys them.

Then it was back to the bedrooms to load up the sheets and empty the bins and lock the doors. Plenty of gardening to do but we’re having a cuppa first.
