As I fed the animals this morning, early, and opened up the hen houses I heard a loud and intricate bird song coming from the copse adjacent to our far field. Possibly a song thrush. As I type I can still hear its song loud and clear. Any clarification please?

It could well be as they have a varied song, often delivered from their favourite perch high up in a tree.
Your photos aren’t clear enough to really see the bird’s colouring or markings. Can you see the spots on the chest? If so it will be a thrush.
Second calf is here and seems strong and very active. Arrived in less than an hour from first contraction to being born, up on her feet within 20 mins and feeding within the hour. That’s the way to do it! Well done Nutmeg.
