Put plenty of butter in the pan then add layers of thinly sliced potatoes and onions seasoned with salt and pepper. I added some slivers of fresh garlic snd some Cajun spice Cook in a covered pan for ten minutes then cover with a plate and turn over and cook the other side in a covered pan for a further ten minutes.
