Show me the way to go home

I made my weekly Tuesday trip to London to see mum through the Care Home window. The new lockdown prevents hairdresser or dentist from visiting the premises. So mum’s hair isn’t “done” and her dental plate needs attention. I will send it to the dentist who will send it to the technician who might be able to fix it. Luckily mum says she “isn’t going anywhere” so doesn’t seem to mind about her missing front teeth. Bless her – she’s very uncomplaining and accepting of the situation in which we all find ourselves.

At least the wonderful Carers are able to paint her fingernails with pretty pink lacquer

On the way home the rain stopped and the sun shone and I unpacked the shopping and went for a walk.

The St Denys church is the market by which we can all find our way back to the village

Another marker is the sound of our geese which can be heard half a mile away. Just follow their honking back home! The sun was glowing in a streaky sky

And as I came towards the neighbours field, abutting the goose pond, I spied a stationary creature, the size of a large dog. I crept towards it but it heard or smelled or saw me and bolted into the hedge

I got back to the house to find Mabel and Nigel being the best of friends
