The daylight hours are few and we make the most of sunny days

Today was perfect, starting with a splendid sunrise and ending with a brilliant sunset.

The sheep troop into the barn for evening hay.
The six young bantams have begun to lay regularly, bless ‘em. Tiny, perfect eggs – three today.

J has put seed potatoes into bags inside one of the poly tunnels. With a mild winter and a bit of luck we might be eating new potatoes in May

I used the last of the stored Bramlet apples to make three cakes – they are now in the freezer although I am tempted to take one out tonight as a slice of cake goes well with my afternoon coffee!

Tomorrow might be dry so we can carry on tidying the garden in preparation for spring planting.
