Several years ago our friends, SF and MF, bought us a melamine bowl decorated with a soft fruit and strawberry print. It seemed an unusual present at the time but I use that bowl every single day. I mix cakes in it, I pick tomatoes in it and this morning I cut plums into it, preparing them for the freezer.

It’s my favourite item in our kitchen and I have been searching, without success, for another. I went onto eBay on Sunday and there was a similar melamine bowl plus two small bowls. Not the same print, but this time a salad pattern. They arrived yesterday and I love them!
