Another pumpkin goes to London.

When our guests left Zola and her mistress arrived to take grandson and me for a walk across the fields. Grandson is back “for one night only” since staying here during lockdown. He starts school on Thursday and then he will be in a year group “bubble”.

On our walk we spotted two micro lights high above us looking like oversized birds.

On the move

Mother Silkie and her chicks have moved to the house and run near the kitchen. They have more space to run around and grow and we can watch them when we sit in the pergola and have a tea break.

In transit
Slightly shocked by the move the chicks are hiding in mother’s skirts (feathers)

Our kids thinks it makes us cool!

Maybe. I’m watching a documentary on BBC2 called “When Bob Marley Came to Britain”. In 1976 we were at his Hammersmith Concert

Years later, with our grown up kids, we visited Jamaica where Bob Marley has the same cult status as Che Guevara in Cuba. Both men were talented, handsome and died young (Marley 36 and Che 39). I bought Marley’s album Natty Dread(1974) and, even earlier (1971) In my teenage bedroom I slept under a large poster of my revolutionary hero, Che.
