It’s June and it’s cool and damp

The geese have quietened down and have stopped laying eggs

The ganders are less aggressive now that the breeding season is ending

There are nectarines and apples and cherries on the trees but will the nectarines ripen?

We often see peaches, apricots and nectarines on the trees we planted five years ago but none of the fruit has ever matured

We net the cherry trees to stop the birds eating all the fruits. I saw a Robin inside the netting yesterday so it doesn’t always keep out the smaller birds.

Granddaughter says, “Cherries are my favourite fruits”.
