Two beds, three windows, room service – what’s not to like?

I feel like a complete fraud (long may that continue). Sent upstairs yesterday because of a sore throat and a dryish cough, I spent a pleasant evening with the National Theatre’s streamed play. They are offering a production every Thursday night from their archives. Lentil soup was brought to my door and later a coffee. I woke early at 5.30 but fell back asleep after hearing grandson and Jeremy feeding the animals outside in the paddock. This room is graced with windows on three sides.

There are two beds and even my late mother in law’s chaise longe. Half an hour ago coffee and grapes were brought upstairs and grandson spoke to me from the hallway.

I feel fine but could get used to this indolent and indulgent lifestyle. Let me out please before I get too lazy and demanding!
