A few years ago I tried to read a bestselling book called Norwegian Wood (the international guide to chopping and storing firewood). It has some pretty pictures but I got bored with the writing.

Today a lorry load of cut wood was delivered.

We filled wheelbarrow after wheelbarrow and moved the logs next to the shed

It is now stacked under cover but, according to the book, we should have put it carefully in lines or rows or patterns. Ours is a mess but, frankly, I’m not Norwegian and I don’t care!
