There has been fighting among the quaillettes. The buff coloured cockerel has been attacking the dark quail – and it’s not good to watch. So, to teach him a lesson, I took Master Buff to meet the large quails just now

The first excitement was going “outside” and then we went into the quail barn. Wow- so much to see and so much space.

One of the females (above) took fright and flew away from Master Buff. Then the adult cock quail realised that he had a rival and put him in his place. Click below.

After a few minutes I picked up Master Buff and told him I was taking him home.

Lesson learned, maybe, but soon all three males will have to learn to live together in the quail barn – or else feathers will fly.
