The dots are now tiny quails and very vocal. The two males have a full throated call and the two girls have a much quieter chirrup. The new nursery crate has been used variously to house puppies ( not ours) and Mabel the cat and her late companion Mack when we first rehomed them. Later we used it when we bottle fed the lambs, Iggle and Piggle and the YouTube star Wiggle.

Now Jeremy has covered all the sides with netting and I have lined the crate with newspapers and chick bedding. They have some twigs to climb on a ball to play with, food and water and their brooder plate.
