A cooking morning at The Gables

Leek and potato soup

Egg mayonnaise

Boiled beetroots

Chopped and sprinkled with malt vinegar

And Jeremy’s bitingly sharp Chrain ( grated beetroot and horseradish with white vinegar and sugar).

While we cooked (separately- we don’t share cooking or shopping, ever!) the oil tanker delivered fuel

Then the wood merchant delivered logs for the wood burner (just off to help Jeremy stack them).
