Cows and trees and sheep and trees are not a good combination. Lucy and Beattie regularly eat the bark from the trees in the field and the sheep rub up against the trunks and eventually the trees die. In an attempt to save the larger specimens we have put wooden stakes and netting around the trunks and maybe we can keep some of them alive.
