Second kill of the day and it’s not even 9 am. The first was a small bird eaten outside the back door and just now a pigeon. The cats were fed at 6.30 this morning so it’s not hunger, just the killer instinct. Hmmmm

Still plenty of inexperienced fledglings about so probably easy pickings for your killer cat.
I had two families of swallows fledging in last few days and a couple of duffers were not really ready to fly so had to be rescued from the floor! If Phil is at yours get him to show you his photo of the baby he saw perching on a stable door for about half an hour before it got its act together! Parents were feeding it in front of him which pleased him no end.
16mm of rain yesterday which was nearly double the total for June and July combined. Hopefully it will make the beans revive and swell the tiny apples!
Good luck with your very busy weekend.
