It’s humid and sticky and the cats are crashed out in the garden

I went down the garden to pick the pink currants but on the way I found an unexpected last crop of blackcurrants. I picked and sorted them and then added the pink currants that I had washed and prepared.

Then I picked some raspberries and added them to the slowly and lightly simmering currants. They cooked for a minute or two and now they are boxed up and ready for the freezer.
