My friend and neighbour had a lovely surprise when one of her cows, Kanzi, gave birth to a beautiful, black heifer calf called Spartan. No fuss, no bother and calf up on her feet and doing well. I hope to pop in and see her tomorrow.

Here at The Gables I pulled some rhubarb to give to a friend and Mabel decided to bed down in the box and have an afternoon snooze.
