I have slipped into a strange existence. When visitors left yesterday I watched Rochdale v Tottenham as I crocheted yet another hat that is too small!

I blame the lack of success on the “Roy of the Rovers” ending to a thrilling game of football. Later I watched some of the Baftas and was again thrilled in another way. Best female actor (or as we used to say, actress) went to a “real woman”. A woman unafraid to look her age, with grey hair and no sign of a facelift. She should be a role model for all young girls. Develop your talent women and let your achievements, personality and good deeds speak for you not your manufactured looks. So refreshing.
