Correction and apologies

We have just returned from a one minute walk to post a letter in the postbox which is almost outside our house. Our house is in a quiet hamlet outside a quiet village but as we exited the gate a car slowed down and inside was a friend from Channels End. Good to chat even though the wind was cold. Five paces on and a grey car turned into Mill Road and stopped. It contained Phil who helps us out with the garden on Fridays. And as he pulled in another van stopped with our nearest neighbour at the wheel and we shook hands and discussed health issues. This is so crazy as hours can go by without a car going along our country road, let alone three in one minute all of whom we know.l!

NOW the apology is to Phil for it was he and NOT Chris (as mentioned in the blog last Friday) who helped Jeremy pull the lamb out of Pinky.

In my excitement I typed the wrong name and failed to give Phil the credit for his timely arrival and assistance. Phil is experienced with other stock – horses , cows, donkeys and dogs and cats and poultry but he says this was the first lamb birth he has witnessed and aided. Thanks Phil and apologies.
