If we were serious about stock breeding

Then Pinky and Perky (the two mums) might have to be culled. Pinky had a still born last year, stuck in the birth canal and had to be helped by Jeremy and Phil this year. Perky had a distended teat last year which we milked off until her lamb learned to suckle and this year it has happened again. Jeremy has put Perky in the barn, milked the swollen side and now the lamb is suckling but only from the smaller side. Let’s hope she begins to drink from both teats to save Jeremy from the extra work and so that mother sheep does not get mastitis.
