While I wait it’s international politics at the hospital

The ward sister is from Soweto (we discussed the corrupt Zuma and the tragedy of South Africa ), the doctor who took my blood is a Hungarian, the nurse Portuguese from Lisbon (we discussed money versus sunshine), the catering orderly is a Buddhist from Sri Lanka ( don’t get him started about the Tamils), the anaesthetist is Bulgarian and the physio is an Englishman rugby fan. I asked him what will happen after Brexit and he said “we’ll cry”!

Meanwhile I have been demoted to number two on the operating list so it’s back to crochet practise and reading a book I picked up at St Neots Library. I am very hungry!
