Regents Park looked radiant in the sunshine

As did Mum, in her flat at lunchtime. I called in to see her en route to a visit to the periodontist who has a state of the art surgery in an elegant house in Harley Street.

A routine dental check in St Neots, last week, revealed some inflammation around my 10 year old dental implants. The dentist put the fear of the Lord into me by saying that an infection in my mouth might undermine the success of my forthcoming hip op. So it was a quick dash to London where the wonderful Dr Z fitted me into his afternoon when he should have been tackling paperwork. Luckily the implants just needed a good clean and should not interfere with the surgery. Phew! My lovely brother gave me a lift through Regents Park to the top of Harley street and we both admired the Nash Terraces which looked particularly splendid in the sunshine. As a child, who lived in council flats in St John’s Wood, I always dreamed of growing up and living in one of those beautiful apartments opposite Regents Park. Now I wouldn’t swop The Gables for such a home. Truly.
