Chris and Jeremy are constantly finding new “jobs”to do around The Gables. Extra compost bins, new chicken runs and modifications to old ones. Today Chris used some wooden pallets to build a gate to keep the sheep away from the muddy area near the duck pond. The mud and moisture isn’t good for their feet and we don’t want them to get foot rot and start limping. The gate can be opened to let them into the field shelter if the weather turns cold. For now it is mild and damp outside and I am going to light the fire indoors.
