The other night we saw a few minutes of a programme featuring the baker, Paul Hollywood and he was baking shortbread biscuits with his Mum. Jeremy said he wanted to have a go at “millionaires shortbread” which our son in law often makes for us as a treat. Today, with the snow still on the ground, I decided to have a go first! The results are dangerously delicious and heavily calorific.
Butter shortbread base then a layer of caramel and topped with melted chocolate. Leave to set, cut and eat with a cup of tea or coffee.
