On an overcast, windy morning we walked briskly across the fields. The intense blue of the hedge sloes caught my eye and it reminded me to check on my sloe gin that is sitting in the kitchen cupboard.

And as we turned onto Honeydon Road we gave way to two villagers riding, one on a large grey horse and the other on a slightly smaller steed. They looked so graceful but very high off the ground!

I enjoy your Wednesday mirning pictures so much,Gill! If I attempted a contemplatuve stroll around here I would choke on the smog ir be run over by a truck!
