On our Wednesday walk we came across the simple statue put up in the country park in honour of those who fell in the First World War.

This will be taken down and stored and then erected every year to mark Remembrance Sunday.  

The morning was glorious and the fields reminiscent of Blake’s line “England pleasant pastures”.
