Field beans (Fava), soaked all day yesterday, boiled for several hours and cooked according to a recipe on YouTube (Egyptian music accompanying the instructions). Topped with lightly scrambled eggs and chopped parsley and eaten with French beans, potatoes and dill and a green salad. I can understand why Ful Medames is a staple dish in Egypt often bought from a street stall on the way to work. A satisfying and filling meal.
