Last week I met a fellow who persuaded me that graphic books are an art form that can encompass political subjects in a totally different way to the written novel.  I now have two sitting in the lounge and discovered a third in my daughter’s bookshelf this evening, Palestine by Joe Sacco.  I am not a lover of cartoons or of comics so I will definitely need time and perseverance and long nights to tackle this literary form.
