We were delighted to contribute two Gables pumpkins which were used to help decorate the church.  My friend Heather told me that it was a lovely, happy and peaceful afternoon for children and adults.

Meanwhile in “the land of the free”, where gun control is resisted by so many of its citizens, at least 50 concert goers have been shot dead by an American man with a room full of armaments.  I just heard an American woman in Vegas say that she grew up shooting guns and it’s not the gun that kills people but the person shooting the gun!  Go figure.  As I type my son is en route to Las Vegas on a business trip.  Stay safe child.
