Kate and her cousin Joan from Winnipeg called in just now to see if I had any spare eggs.  Instead of eggs they received coffee and freshly baked apple cake (which had used three of the four eggs in the kitchen).

We had a good old chinwag and I was delighted to hear that Kate’s Dexter herd had won a number of awards at the autumn Dexter meeting yesterday, including the award for “best old cow”!  Well done Ivy and well done Kate.
