Fields of borage and new housing projects

Several fields of borage around the village are in flower and their pale lilac hue is beautiful to behold.  The seeds are carried on the winds and many of us have borage plants in our garden that we did not plant.  I don’t mind as they add colour and variety to the raised beds.

We stopped, on our Wednesday walk, to see the progress of the three new houses on Honeydon Road.  They are large, detached building with separate garages but they will not have much garden around them.

Another developer has been given planning permission to build three houses on a plot on Queens Road.  It would be good idea to have some smaller homes for less well off families and some bungalows for elderly people who want to down size and stay in the village.  I should imagine there will be three more large detached houses and garages with small gardens.
