The children are taking possession of two rescue cats this summer so they were very interested in Mabel and Josie.  Just as they arrived an egg bound chicken breathed her last in front of them.  Quite an introduction to life on a smallholding!  Then they helped Jeremy to move Lucy and Beattie around the field and they collected some eggs – one of which was still warm.  And the sun shone all the time they were here.  Hooray
