The wheat fields were yellow and ready to harvest, the maize was green and high and the footpaths had been softened by last night’s rain.

Lovely walk this morning. Thank you for the plums I will make something tasty for my Danish guests later. I am making a seasonal ratatouille type dish for the community lunch next Wednesday if you have any surplus seasonal veg- courgettes, tomatoes etc that you don’t know what to do with – I will be making it over the weekend. – I have harvested about 4 courgettes so far! I am going to email my friend Lynn and find out where she went to school etc. Xx
