The cows broke into the pond enclosure three days ago.  The wire fence was fixed yesterday and the ducks were swimming happily in the water.  When I went to let the ducks out of their house this morning, Lucy and Beattie had broken through the fence in exactly the same place as before (even though it had been reinforced with an extra wooden stake).  Drat!  So as a temporary fix I put up some metal hurdles to try and keep them out until we can work out a way to “cow proof” the pond.
