An old pallet leaning against the fence in the duck run and behind it the white duck made her nest, away from the threat of the egg stealing crows.  I placed a slab of paving stone in front of the entrance, leaving enough space for Mrs Duck to enter and exit, and placed an old piece of board over the top for protection from rain.  The duck has been sitting for such a long time. 

She gets up every afternoon to go into the run and drink, eat some food and clean her feathers.

Then its back behind the pallet and onto the nest.  But how long can this go on?
