So it was “business as usual” at The Gables with Farmer Rob arriving to give the cows, sheep and lambs their booster vaccine against the dreaded chlostridium (which killed Calf Lexi 7 weeks ago).  We managed to get most of the stock into the field shelter except for the wily Little Miss Pretty and Cieste.  Rob used metal hurdles and the threat of a shepherds crook with a Jacob’s horn handle(!) to persuade them to join the others in the barn.  In next to no time all the animals had received their jabs and were returned to the great outdoors.
