And now the rain is “watering in” all the plants – courgettes, pumpkins squashes and the petunia plugs that I bought this morning to fill the space when I pulled out the old forget me nots.

The combination of sunshine and showers has brought on the cabbages.  Still some sweet and sour red cabbage in the freezer that needs to be used, ditto broad beans before the new crop has to be picked.
