As he works on the junction box outside the barn next to the geese. He says he isn’t bothered about the noise they are making and that he used to keep chickens. He wants to have a farm someday but for the time being he lives at Cardingon which is where the Airlander air ship is housed in the enormous hangars (it flew over The Gables last week). He tells me the Airlander was built in America and reassembled and modified here in Cardington and for £25 a year one can be a member of the Airlander club – entitling one to visit the craft and receiving regular updates about its progress and flights.
