A new rhubarb recipe

We have been taking armfuls of rhubarb to London over the past few weeks.  Mum has “taken orders” from her friends and given them bags of rhubarb when she sees them.  They all enjoy the sticks and cook them in different ways.  Crumble, compote and cakes.  Mum’s lovely cousin, S, (one of her bridesmaids on mum’s wedding day nearly 68 years ago) emailed to thank us for the rhubarb and enclosed a recipe for a rhubarb, almond and orange cake.  I have prepared it this morning and it is now in the oven.
